Are you sought after for your expertise?
You’ve built a successful consulting practice, but it isn’t the practice you envisioned. While you have a strong network and are well-respected by your clients and colleagues, the projects you work on drain your energy. You feel like an interchangeable cog instead of an indispensable thought partner.
To attract more of the right clients, the right projects, and the right partners, you need to differentiate yourself from your peers and position yourself as an authoritative expert. Today, authority-building isn’t optional; it’s essential. When Harvard Business Review, TD Magazine, or Fast Company publishes an article you wrote, everything changes:
- Existing clients make better use of your expertise.
- Prospective clients seek you out to hire you.
- Partners refer you to better projects.
- Event planners invite you to speak at their conferences.
- Corporate directors recruit you for board positions.
- Your rates become non-negotiable.

Pathway to Publication is packed with value.
“I’ve always enjoyed writing but wanted to become a better (and faster) writer. Signing up for Erica’s group program allowed me to immerse myself in a supportive environment with others who had similar goals. Pathway to Publication is packed with value. It was definitely worth my time and money. The weekly meetings were well-paced, and the small group size meant I received plenty of support and developed real relationships with my colleagues. The combination of learning and application gave me a solid foundation. I’m a much more efficient writer now and am grateful to Erica for her guidance. I highly recommend her program!”

A proven framework for building authority.
Pathway to Publication will equip you with the tools you need to position yourself as an authoritative expert by writing for high-visibility publications. The initial twelve-week intensive is focused on implementation. During this time, I will walk you step-by-step through The SILVA Method™ — my proprietary framework for writing, pitching, and publishing articles in high-visibility publications and using those articles to achieve specific business goals. The intensive is followed by three months of workshops, asynchronous consulting, and one-to-one strategy sessions. The program includes:

Five Workshops
Each 90-minute workshop is supported by a workbook, resources, and optional training videos. You will select a publication, define your body of work, write and edit an article, pitch that article, and create a plan to use that article to achieve your goals.

Five Group Discussions
Each 90-minute group discussion session is an opportunity to ask questions, get personalized feedback, and tap into the wisdom of the cohort. These calls provide you with the support and guidance you need.

Inspired Writing Workshop
In this three-hour workshop, you will choose a topic for your article, identify the angle, audience, and objective of the piece, develop a plan for the article, write a first draft, and identify your strengths as a writer.

Deep Work Session
In this 90-minute deep work session, we will discuss the rewriting process, sharing tips and techniques, and then put that learning into practice by rewriting the first draft of the article completed during the inspired writing workshop.

Peer Editing Workshop
In this 90-minute workshop, we will discuss ways to prepare your work to be edited by others and how to edit other people’s work. You will then edit articles written by two of your cohort colleagues and have your article edited by two colleagues.

Asynchronous Consulting
Stay connected in our private Slack workspace. Share your work to get feedback, ask questions, share challenges and frustrations, and learn from one another’s experiences.

Three Private Strategy Sessions
You determine the goal of each one-hour strategy session. You may use these sessions to review and refine your list of publications, get feedback on your article or pitch, or refine your plan for using your article to achieve your business goals. Sessions must be used before the program concludes.

Special Bonus: Writing Practice
Three months complimentary membership to Writing Practice, a community of professionals committed to completing at least one business-related writing project each month. Membership includes monthly writing, peer editing, and skill-building workshops.

By the end of the program, I had already published one article.
“Writing suits my strengths and temperament, but I wasn’t sure how to get started. Erica is an extremely diligent professional. Her follow-through is among the best I’ve seen, researching resources and providing reliable and encouraging accountability. By the end of the program, I had already published one article and submitted a second. I plan to continue my writing practice and write for increasingly competitive publications as my track record develops.”

Are you ready to write to be an authoritative expert?
Authority building is an investment that compounds. The sooner you start, the longer you benefit from the credibility and recognition that being published provides.
If you want more of the right clients, the right projects, and the right partners, you need to demonstrate what differentiates you from your consulting colleagues. When you write articles for high-visibility publications, you’re not just sharing your perspective — you’re borrowing the publication’s credibility and relationship with their audience. Your prospective clients already trust these publications, so when they publish articles you wrote, that trust transfers to you.
It’s the difference between telling others that you’re an authoritative expert, and having trusted sources validate your expertise for you.

Erica walked us through every step of the process.
“I had a collection of ideas I wanted to form into something worthy of publication, but I had no idea where to start. Erica walked us through every step of the process, from choosing a publication to writing and editing an article to building a good working relationship with editors. Pathway to Publication taught me a thorough yet manageable process to transform my ideas into published pieces. On top of Erica’s expertise and guidance, the camaraderie, support, and accountability of being part of a small group was invaluable.”

Frequently Asked Questions
No, I cannot guarantee that your work will be published. That decision lies with the publication’s editorial team. I can guarantee that if you implement everything you learn, you will have the skills and confidence to create work worthy of publication.
Expect to spend between eight and twelve hours each month attending workshops and discussion sessions and completing work between cohort gatherings. Every hour invested builds your authority and helps you become a better writer, deeper thinker, and stronger communicator.
Implementation is built right into the program. You won’t just be learning how to start writing for high-visibility publications; you’ll do it. In the first 90 days, you will select a publication, write and edit a high-quality, original article, pitch that article to the chosen publication, develop an editorial calendar with additional article ideas, and create a plan to use your articles to help you achieve your business goals.
The program is designed for busy professionals. All sessions are recorded, and the recording is available within 24 hours. You will also be able to download all workbooks and resource materials. To help with planning, here is a copy of the meeting schedule. Even if you can’t attend every session, you still receive the full value of the program.
People committed to a program are more likely to do the work and therefore get better results. If you’re not sure whether this is a good fit, don’t enroll in the program — at least not yet. First, check in with your body. How does the idea of enrolling in this program feel? If you’re at the intersection of excited and terrified, that’s a good sign! If you have any questions, please schedule a call. I want you to make a decision you feel great about!
